Kidney Bean with Oilve Oil

Ingredients

  • 500 gr kidney beans
  • 2 small carrots
  • 1 potato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teacup of oil
  • 1 cube of sugar
  • 1 wooden spoon of tomato paste
  • salt

Directions

  • 1 day in advance, put the red mullet in salty cold water, we cover the mouth. The next day our kidney beans will be swollen.
  • We filter and wash the water and take it to our pot, put enough water over it and let it boil. Approximately 20-25 minutes later  kidney beans will be softened slightly. We're draining the water and taking it aside.
  • We take the oil, chopped onions and carrots in the pot and start roasting.
  • We continue to take crushed or grated garlic, potatoes and tomato paste respectively.
  • Then we add the kidney beans we've drained and throw the sugar.
  • We add 1.5 liter of water and salt to the end, cook the food thoroughly and cook until the kidney beans soften (with the addition of more water if necessary).
  • We keep the cooked food in the saucepan without opening the lid until it reaches room temperature.
  • After coming to room temperature, we put it in the fridge and serve it when it cools
