Kidney Bean with Oilve Oil
Ingredients
- 500 gr kidney beans
- 2 small carrots
- 1 potato
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teacup of oil
- 1 cube of sugar
- 1 wooden spoon of tomato paste
- salt
Directions
- 1 day in advance, put the red mullet in salty cold water, we cover the mouth. The next day our kidney beans will be swollen.
- We filter and wash the water and take it to our pot, put enough water over it and let it boil. Approximately 20-25 minutes later kidney beans will be softened slightly. We're draining the water and taking it aside.
- We take the oil, chopped onions and carrots in the pot and start roasting.
- We continue to take crushed or grated garlic, potatoes and tomato paste respectively.
- Then we add the kidney beans we've drained and throw the sugar.
- We add 1.5 liter of water and salt to the end, cook the food thoroughly and cook until the kidney beans soften (with the addition of more water if necessary).
- We keep the cooked food in the saucepan without opening the lid until it reaches room temperature.
- After coming to room temperature, we put it in the fridge and serve it when it cools
